Chiropractic Care

What is chiropractic care? How does it work? Will it hurt? Good questions. The good news is that if it is the right treatment for you, it works great. If you find the right doctor to treat you, it can change your life. Not in a magical way, but as a new found resource to use for many physical complaints you will have throughout your life.

Back pain is extremely common. There are many solutions. Many work, but when it comes to actual spinal issues like pinched nerves, slipped or herniated discs, joint inflammation or simple vertebral misalignment, nothing works better than chiropractic therapy.  Most conditions of the back involve multiple parts of the machine inside of you. Bones, discs, nerves, ligaments, tendons and muscles can all be involved in causing your pain. For this, the best treatment involves addressing all these tissues.

Chiropractic therapy does just that. At our practice we utilize physio-modalities to reduce pain and inflammation along with ice or heat to reduce swelling and spasm. When your back is shutting down to protect you from further harm, we use gentle stretching and movement techniques to release and open up the soft tissue to regain normal function of the area of complaint.  Of course, nothing beats the relief you will feel when a gentle gliding of your joints occur from a spinal "manipulation". This is how chiropractors restore normal alignment to the spine, take pressure off the discs and nerves and release the painful pressure that can build up within your spine. It feels great and some people get immediate relief. Others may take a couple of weeks, but getting better has to happen on your body's schedule...There is only so much you can push it before your body starts to shut down again.  We listen to what your body needs and makes sure it gets it!

95% of our patients get better within 2 weeks! Where you go from there is up to you.
